THE PRESERVE OPEN
Danny Balin won the 2017 Preserve Open on Thursday afternoon at the Preserve at Boulder Hills.
With the win, Balin takes home a first place prize of $20,000.
Chris Wiatr and Mark Purrington finished in a tie for second.
Balin is a PGA Tour professional out of Rockville, Maryland.
In 2016, Balin played in three events on the Web.com Tour and made just one cut.
Playing in Europe, his best finish in the 2016 season was a tie for 24th in the Argentina Classic and San Luis Championship.
Balin turned pro in 2005 after a college career at Penn State.
The Preserve’s 18-hole executive par 3 golf course stretches over 3,200 yards and was designed by famed landscape architect Robert McNeil. With over 200 feet in elevation changes and rolling hills, the course offers game-raising challenges for professionals and novices alike, testing their skills rather than their distance.
